So here’s the debate: should you deny bail based on a person’s risk to the community, or their flight risk?  Historically/traditionally, bail was only used to guarantee that a person will appear at their court date.  Should bail also be used as a way to protect a community, even if the person technically isn’t guilty until proven so (even though this particular case is fairly cut and dry…)?
